All Time favourite Snack MIRCH BAJJI
Takes less time to prepare and simple to do.
- 12 Bajji Chillies (bajji mirapakayalu)
- 1 cup besan (gram flour)
- a pinch of soda bi carb
- Ajowan- 1spoon
- 1 tea spoon salt (as per taste)
- For filling:
- 3 table spoons ground nuts
- 2 table spoons sesame seeds
- salt to taste
Procedure to prepare Mirch Bajji..
Clean chillies. Select large size chillies which does not tastes more spicy.(small chillies are mostly spicy ones )
If you dont want spicy then remove the seeds after cutting the chillies and decrease the quantity of Red chilli powder also.
Let them dry for some time.
Fry groundnuts, sesame seeds with out oil and grind them into powder.
Add salt and red mirch powder to taste.
Now add ajowan to powders mixture .
Now cut the chillies in the centre keeping the stalk as it is.(like cutting of brinjal stuffed)
Now keep the powder in that cutted mirch and do stuff all the chillies like this only.
Make a smooth but thick batter of gram flour by adding salt, ajwain, soda bi carb and sufficient water.
Heat sufficient oil for deep fry in a pan. Now dip the stuffed green chillies in the batter and deep fry until golden brown. Remove and drain on a tissue paper.
If you need you can taste cutted onion pieces laong with mirch bajji..
